About me
I am currently working as a freelance arts tutor in Edinburgh. With years of experience working with adults and children I am confident in planning and delivering educational activity sessions for all ages. I have worked in public engagement positions, visitor services, and managed staff and volunteers in both arts and non-arts organisations.
Since completing my studies in Performance Costume at ECA I have developed a career in education, community arts, public engagement and outreach. I have a wide range of interests which include, but extend far beyond, costume design. I am enthusiastic about many creative disciplines such as textiles, illustration, painting, sculpture, printing, dance, ceramics, and jewellery. I also passionately believe in the importance of education and actively develop my own professional practice, most recently undertaking training in Forest school teaching, a practise rooted in creativity and environmental conscientiousness.
Currently I am tutoring children’s art classes at Out of the Blue Drill Hall, and working as an Educator for the National Galleries of Scotland. I am a member of the PVG scheme and have an up to date knowledge of child protection.
I am open to start up more arts, illustration and textiles workshops and take on freelance work. If you would be interested in working with me please get in touch!
